There is no use for me to try to compete with Annie for looks. She is shown running here and she is putting on quite a show for us. The top picture is of me showing Satin in Fletcher, NC. Never mine my serious look. Satin is quite the horse. We were out today for a ride and I am pretty sure we covered about 10 miles. When we got to the barn she was hungry and so was I. She got her feed and hay first, then I got to the house after all the feeding was finished.
We finished in three classes in Fletcher and was included in two different shows. The first day we placed 7th in a class with 7 entries and all of them were professional trainers except me. The second show or second day I placed 5th out of 7 and 4th out of 5 entries. This is my first show ever.
My sister did much better with the in hand classes. She placed 1st with Ann's Mountain Treasure pictured above on the first day. The second day her competition outworked Ann and she came in third.
All in all this was our first show and I am quite happy with the results.
Stay tuned for more action in April.
